New one on the bench. Lovely kit. Unfortunately a bit on the old side so the decals isn't great. Will have to paint them on.

Some pics

Sprayed the engine and gave it a wash with Humbrol Oil Stain

Insides sprayed Tamiya XF-1 and then Tamiya XF-71 IJN Cockpit Green. Then added some color with a paintbrush.

Some more work done on this gem of a kit.

Installed the cockpit and closed it up, forgetting to get a pic of it

Image

Joining of all the parts went well. Almost no filler needed.

Image

Sprayed on some Humbrol 27001 Polished Aluminium Matt and also the Tamiya XF-7 Red for the meatballs.

Image

Some hairspray weathering.

Masked of the meatballs and respray the silver again. Taped of the meatballs sprayed on the white.

Masking removed.

Image

Tamiya XF-26 Deep Green apllied.

Image

Some more hairspray.

Hi Ants that's looking very neat.
I see you've mastered the mask, spray, mask story, can be a real pain sometimes but when it works out ok you forget the time wasted masking.
Must live next door to Mistral and getting some good tips.
Keep em coming.

Thanks gregair.

Thanks greekguy, must say after a while you do get used to the whole pattern of the mask spray mask.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Here she is, all finished. Unfortunately the kit came without the landing light on the leading edge and I didn't have a spare one laying around.
