New project - will complete this old Airfix Herc as an SAAF example in the early Silver/White scheme

It's an underrated kit - I've finished three so far (RAF, Spanish AF and stretched Canadian versions) and they all look like Hercs!

AND you get the Bloodhound kit with the earlier releases with that Land Rover......and dog

C-130 is one of my favourite transport aircraft. It's one of the best aircraft designs ever! I want one..

And I agree with you on the Herky. I get excited whenever a grey one comes low over my house on the downwind leg into FAWK. :D

Well, I will say (as an ex loady) that Lockheed got the power with the 4 Allison T56's right but the cargo bay layout wrong....those damn wheel wells sticking into the bay is just stupid.
Transallians on the other hand got the layout perfect...those 2 rolls engines arnt to shabby either but hot and high out of Wklf limited us to IIRC 28,000 LBS only where as the see one thirsty went 48,000 Lbs summer or winter.
